In DeForest we are committed to the society in which we live, so it is of the utmost importance to promote social and environmental responsibility.
Our team performs Pro-Bono work (voluntary and without monetary compensation for the good of the public interest), offering legal services to low-income people or institutions, actively participating in the Pro-Bono programs of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers (ANADE), as well as collaborating with different non-profit organizations and associations that need help promoting integration and social participation.
Currently the Firm supports different associations such as “Yo Quiero, Yo Puedo” in its internal labor structure and in fundraising projects for one of its causes (the eradication of forced child marriage), as well as “Casa del Sol” and “Una Nueva Esperanza” for the benefit of future generations.
With other organizations such as “Dale la Cara al Atoyac”, the Firm maintains its commitment to the environment, helping the community clean the Atoyac River in Puebla, providing free legal services and promoting the culture of recycling and separation of trash in the Firm.
“Joining in September 2020, DeForest is a proud participant in the United Nations Global Compact. This initiative goes hand in hand with DeForest’s commitment to its 10 Principles and Sustainable Development Goals, on which we are continuously working in our offices and through our collaborations with various NGOs.”
